Hedge was built on 1 observation — that we often have to act without perfect data or ideal circumstances.
Kim founded Hedge Communications after years spent designing and delivering precision
communication training and facilitation programmes across corporate, aviation and aerospace environments, alongside her work as an executive coach building the tools and materials that leaders use to navigate their highest-pressure moments.
That combination of operational rigour and strategic coaching moments allows her to create
frameworks proven in environments where communication precision matters most. These
frameworks have since been adapted for the boardrooms and strategic meetings where high stakes
and higher value conversations thrive in .
That practice is grounded in an academic and research background spanning years of delivering
communication studies, psychology, and applied neuroscience. Hedge is built on an understanding of
how people actually process information and hold composure under cognitive and environmental
overload.
Why "Hedge".
A hedge is a boundary that holds its shape under pressure. That's the standard we bring to communication.
Hedge exists because most communication training treats high-stakes industries the same way it treats everyone else — with generic frameworks, borrowed language, and no real understanding of what's actually at stake in the room.
We built something different.
Our interventions are drawn from the disciplines where precision isn't aspirational, it's operational — aviation, aerospace, crisis response, executive presence — adapted for leaders and teams who need the same standard, wherever they operate.
A standard tested across sectors where communication failure has real consequences.
